Passports



By the authority of the President of the United States, the Secretary of State has designated various categories of public officials who are authorized to accept passport applications. One of those is the Clerk of Courts.

Prior To Coming You Should

  1. Complete the Passport Application.
  2. Obtain two (2) photos - 2" by 2" Passport quality. AAA is one source.
  3. Have an original (or certified copy) of the birth certificate for each Passport Applicant.
  4. Have a Drivers License or a Government issued Picture ID.

Bring The Following

  1. All of the items listed above.
  2. $25.00 for the CLERK OF COURTS APPLICATION FEE (check or cash).

General Information

  • Passport fee for children (16 or under) is $60.00, other charges are the same.
  • Check for passport fee to made out to "US Department of State"
  • Checks in the amount of $18.30 to be made out to USPS for Expedite.
  • The birth certificates are returned with the passports
  • The Lancaster Post Office also processes passports.
  • Allow 4 to 6 weeks for Passport processing (Expedited all 14 days).
